The Maxhof Wine Estate in Traben-Trarbach, Germany, was built in 1879 by the great grandfather (Max Wagner) of the current owners, with wine making having been in the family since 1648! Their Riesling wines are grown on the famous steep slate hills along the Mosel river producing excellent quality and ripened in oak barrels. This is the backbone to the wines' long life.
