Washington, DC--TTB announces that the Government of Italy has certified that the 2006 vintage of Brunello di Montalcino Denominazione di Origine Controllata e Garantita (DOCG) released for sale in January 2011 meets all requirements for that denomination. TTB works with the Guardia di Finanza (Financial Police) and the Central Inspectorate for Food Quality and Fraud Repression (ICQRF) of Italy's Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.  These partnerships ensure that Italian products coming to the United States meet the high standards set by Italy and ensure U.S. consumers of the integrity of the labels on this product.
